JOY CAWLEY

Hi, my name is Joy Cawley, I returned to my love of running in 2014.  My first step was to join a learn to run program which led to running road and trail runs and races in and around the Okanagan.  Never a fast runner, I still wanted to do the best I could and have fun out on the road and trails.  I enrolled in the BB Trail Running Clinic in the fall of 2018 because I wanted to improve my technique and endurance.  What I found was a knowledgeable, inspiring, supportive, energetic and fun group of people who have taught me so much.  My favourite quote sums up my feelings about trail running, “Into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul”.

TRISH MARSHALL

After years of running I can honestly say that throwing my running shoes on is still one of my favourite activities. Whether 5k or 60k or a stage race, I am always thankful and grateful for the ability to get out and enjoy the views. Equally as grateful to encourage new runners along the way. I also love to practice yoga, Pilates, road bike, walk my dogs, snowshoe, swim and hike.

ERIN JACKSON

Erin Jackson lives and works in Salmon Arm and is the mom to two grown children, a parrot and two dogs. She started road running 13 years ago as a way to lose weight and get fit. Little did she know that it would also become an integral part of her stress management and social life! In 2018 she transitioned to trail running and never looked back. Erin loves the comradery of the trail community and is focussed on supporting runners to challenge themselves and find their why. Her happy place is the alpine, but will never say no to a trail adventure with friends.

RANDI DELISIMUNOVIC

Randi loves hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking and trail running. I've
been trail running for 13 years; 13 years of blisters, laughter, tears, more laughter, loads of wildlife, frozen water bladders, eating lots of bacon, great friends, incredible views, more laughter and the greatest feeling in the
world - exhaustion mixed with pride. It is so incredible to know that my body is
able and willing to do what my heart wants. I am so thankful that I have friends
adventurous enough to enjoy trail running and the outdoors with me!

Mark Murdoch

Driven by an addiction to adventure, Mark started trail running to see where his feet could take him. How far, how high, how remote.

It was a love for the trails that brought Mark to Vernon to start Base Camp, a chiropractic and sports rehab clinic, in 2021. He has been working with trail runners ever since and exploring the trails himself on foot, bike or skis.

Rob Brooks

Originally from the UK I have been an on and off runner since childhood. Initially despising running it was the hard part of rugby without any of the fun, however through the years I have always found myself being drawn back to running time and time again especially during difficult times. I've now learnt trail running in the woods and mountains is one of the easiest ways for me to find peace. Since really getting back into it towards the end of 2022 I've have happily completed the Vancouver marathon, Slay the Dragon 50km and managed to sneak in 100km at the Brokenagan backyard ultra in 2023. Currently big dreams of doing a 100miler.
