Everything You Need to Know
Before Race Day
Welcome to Bush Babes Trail Running. Whether it’s your first race or your fiftieth, we’re here to make sure you feel prepared, confident, and ready to have an incredible day on the trails.
BEFORE YOU REGISTER
Cancellation & Registration Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our goal is to be transparent and fair while recognizing the real costs involved in organizing our events.
Registration Terms

All registrations are final.

No refunds will be issued unless otherwise stated below.

Transfers may be permitted up to a specified date (please refer to individual event pages for details).

Some events may have waitlists.

Pricing may increase as race day approaches.

Refund Policy

A 50% refund is available up to 90 days prior to the event date.

Refunds do not include processing fees (including UltraSignup fees), as these are non-refundable.

No refunds are available within 90 days of the event.

Registration Protection
-
Participants have the option to purchase cancellation insurance at checkout.

This is provided through a third-party and may offer additional coverage beyond our standard policy.
If the Event Cannot Run In Person
-
If the event is unable to take place in person due to circumstances beyond the Event Director’s control (including but not limited to weather, environmental conditions, or government restrictions), the event will transition to a virtual format.
Virtual Event Details
-
Participants will complete the race at a location of their choosing, aiming to match the distance and elevation (meters) of their registered event.

Results will be self-submitted.
-
All race packages, swag, and prizing will be mailed to participants.

By registering, participants acknowledge and agree to this policy.
BEFORE RACE DAY
What to Bring
Trail running is about being prepared for changing conditions. We recommend:

Trail shoes with good grip

Hydration (vest, handheld, or bottles)
-
Nutrition (gels, bars, real food)
-
Weather-appropriate clothing
-
Sunscreen / hat
-
Extra layers depending on conditions
-
Cell phone incase of emergency
-
Small first aid or blister kit
-
Body glide
-
Poles (optional)
Some events may have required gear—check your event page.
Preparing for Your Race

Train for the terrain, not just the distance
-
Train for the Altitude
-
Practice fueling and hydration
-
Get familiar with elevation gain
-
Arrive rested and ready
If you're new, start with shorter distances and build from there.
RACE DAY
Arrival & Check-In

Plan to arrive 45 minutes to 1hr early to allow time for checkin (lines can get long)

Follow parking instructions for each event
-
Check in, grab your bib and swag bag, be ready for your start time
-
Be at the start line 25 minutes prior to race start for racer meeting
On Course
-
Follow course markings carefully
-
Respect other runners when passing
-
Yield when appropriate
-
Stay on marked trails
Aid Stations
Most events include aid stations with a mix of:

Water
-
Electrolytes/Tailwind
-
Snacks (chips, fruit, gummies, etc.)

Trail Etiquette

Be kind and supportive
-
Allow faster runners to pass

Pack out what you pack in

Respect wildlife and the environment

Thank volunteers—they make it all happen

Earbuds may be worn (keep one out)

Poles are allowed
Safety
-
Conditions can change quickly
-
You are responsible for your own safety and preparedness

Follow all instructions from race staff and volunteers

If you need help, notify the nearest volunteer or aid station

Always stay on the trail
AFTER YOUR RACE
Results & Photos

Results will be posted after the event within 24hrs
-
Photos will be shared on our website, social media, via an emailed link to all registered racers
