Welcome to Slay the Baby Dragon, a kids 2.7 ish km out and back FUN event for children aged 0-12 years old. This race is designed to introduce children to the joys of trail running in a safe and exciting environment. The route is set on the scenic Cross Mountain Trail with gentle ascents and descents. An expert marshal will be stationed at the turn around portion of the course to provide guidance and support.
Slay the Baby Dragon - Race Entry
The race is timed, but the emphasis is on participation and enjoyment rather than competition. Every child who completes the race receives a medallion, buff, and a goodie bag. Slay the Baby Dragon 2.5km event takes place at the start/finish line like our big kids race and is open to children of all ability levels. It is a fantastic opportunity for kids to challenge themselves, have fun, and meet other young trail runners.
Please ensure you arrive 45 mins before event start time to sign the waivers and pick up all the goodies.
